Menus

A menu gives users a shortcut to the parts of your bot they use most. Instead of going through a whole flow, they tap a menu item and go straight to the sub-flow you chose.

Menus live in Contents → Menus. This option shows up in bots with channels that support menus, like an omnichannel bot. A bot that only has WhatsApp does not show it.

Create a menu

  1. Go to Contents → Menus and click + New Menu.
  2. Give the menu a name.
  3. Click + Add Menu Item, write the title of the item and choose the sub-flow the user goes to when they tap it.
  4. Add the rest of the items and click Save.

The list shows every menu of the bot with its name.

On Facebook, the persistent menu has at most 3 buttons. Besides going to a sub-flow, an item can open a website or the checkout page.

Show a different menu to each user

To change the menu a user sees, add an Action step to your flow with Set User Menu and choose the menu. From then on, that user gets that menu.
