Smart Delays shows the users who are waiting in a Smart Delay step of a flow, and when each of them will continue. It is useful to check follow-up sequences and to stop a delay for a specific user.
Go to Tools in the left-hand menu of your bot and open Smart Delays.
What the list shows
The times follow the time zone of the workspace, shown above the list as Workspace Timezone.
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Id | The identifier of the delay. |
| Scheduled Time | When the delay ends and the flow continues. |
| Node | The step of the flow where the delay started. |
| Bot User | The user who is waiting. |
| Created at | When the delay started. |
You can cancel the Smart Delay of a user at any time.
The Smart Delay step
The Smart Delay step has a Delay Type with three options:
- Duration: waits a set amount of time, for example 30 seconds. With Set continue time limit you can limit when the flow may continue: a time range (for example 08:00 to 22:00), the days of the week and the time zone (the user’s or the workspace’s).
- Specified Date and Time: waits until a date and time you choose in Delay until. If that moment already passed, there is no delay.
- Dynamic Date and Time: waits until the date and time saved in a field, like Last Interaction, Subscribed or a custom field, plus an optional Offset in seconds, minutes or hours. If the result already passed, there is no delay.
Use cases
- Follow-ups: send a few messages over hours or days to a user who showed interest but did not buy.
- Event reminders: remind users about a webinar or a launch some hours before it starts.
