Rate limit lets you cap how many times a user can do something in a period of time. Turn it on in Settings → Rate Limit Settings: switch it from Disabled to Enable and click Save.
Then use it in your flows: add an Action step and choose Advanced Actions → Rate Limit Attempt.
Some common uses:
- Limit API calls: keep the number of calls each user makes to an external service within the limits of that service.
- Prevent fake orders: limit how many orders a user can place in a given time in an online store.
- Control notifications: avoid sending too many notifications to the same user, for example order updates.
